A DOG DAY AFTERNOON
A fun day for the entire community
Every dog must have its day and at the annual Dog Day Afternoon sponsored by JCP CARES, all four legged furry friends and their familes had a special one. Sunday, March 10 was the fifth annual celebration of all things canine. All proceeds benefitted S.A.F.E. (Saving Animals From Euthanasia), a St. Johns County organization that rescues, fosters and adopts out pets scheduled to be destroyed. The event took place at Plantation Park in Julington Creek Plantation (875 Davis Pond Blvd. 32259). In past years hundreds of people, with their best friends in tow, have joined the festivities, coming from as far away as Jax Beach, Ponte Vedra and Orange Park. The popular event featured dog washes, pet-i-cures (nail clipping), pet photos, a variety of vendors, a bounce house for human litter mates and an obstacle course for the dogs.
Thank you to all who joined us for a fun filled family day for a good cause.
Thank you to our 2013 sponsors:
Two Men and A Truck - Silver
Austin Outdoors - Gold
Switzerland Animal Hospital - Platinum
